This and that...
about "yours truly"...

If you could build a house anywhere, where would it be?
I can think of several places, but, right now, as the girls have not yet left home,
I would have to say the Lubéron, in Provence (near enough to Aix en Provence for the International school for Philippa, and the University for Jenny) .
Preferably in, or near, the village of Lourmarin and definately something very old that we'd renovate - lots of old stone, wooden beams, lovely old solid oak doors...
you get the picture.
What is your favourite item of clothing?
I am afraid it is an old pair of Levis,
although I'm particularly attached to my pashminas and somehow
manage to team them up with whatever I wear, year round!
Favourite physical feature of the opposite sex
You're not going to believe me...I can't resist a beautiful smile
(involving eyes and every facial muscle, not just mouth and teeth...yuk!)
Where is your favourite place to be?
Wherever happen to be my loved ones "home is where the heart is", n'est-ce pas?.
Where is your least favourite place to be?
Waiting in a long line to pay for my shopping, sitting in slow moving traffic, anywhere
when it is freezing cold, damp and windy!
Where is your favourite place to be massaged?
Preferably somewhere exotic with stunning views of a clear blue sea, endless sandy beaches lined with coconut trees...I'm sure you get the picture.
Alternatively, I'd have to say my back!
Strong in mind or body?
Definately body, I can cope with most things physically. My mind, however, has
a mind of its own, so I'm working on that...
What time do you wake up in the morning?
Around 6h00, often earlier, and I get up a little later depending on the day ahead,
I always rise early though.
I love to lie in bed in a half asleep, half awake state, and gather my thoughts
before I have to get up; its never very long, but its me time!
What is your favourite kitchen appliance?
My "Le Creuset" pots and pans, I'd be lost without them!
What makes you really angry?
God! where do I start? Bigotry, intolerence, racism, bad drivers...
If you could play an instrument what would it be?
A Piano! Yes I would play the Warsaw Concerto in a sweeping melodromatic way...
but really...it aint gonna happen! I am utterly talentless in that field!
Favourite colour?
I have several, impossible for me to choose just one!
Which do you prefer sports car or suv?
Neither! I do drive a 4x4 but only because it gets me safely from A to B in appalling
heavy snow conditions (we live in the French Alps!), and that's all I care about!
I'd be much happier in an old Morris Minor Traveller, VW Beetle or 2CV..!
Do you believe in an afterlife?
I certainly do! I am very spiritual!
Favourite childrens book
Hmm.. I am a huge Enid Blyton fan, but I also love Peter Pan, Beatrix Potter, Roald Dahl... What is your favourite season?
Summer. Those lazy, hazy days of summer...as per Nat King Cole. Light nights, walks
on the beach, salads, breakfast in the garden, and lavender and pink roses in my garden.
Your least favourite household chore.
Ironing. Enough said...
If you could have one super power what would it be?
I would surround my children with an invisible safety bubble! so that they would
forever be happy, healthy and free from harm. Not much to ask for is it?
If you have a tattoo what is it?
Never have had, and never will have, not even a temporary one, not even in my dreams..!
Can you juggle?
I am a woman, its obligitory not optional!
The one person from your past that you wish you could go back and talk to
My Grandma, I miss her still.
What is your favourite day?
Any day that involves no work, no "rendez vous", no chores, no problems/issues to deal with... only quality time spent with loved ones enjoying each others company..!
Utopic? Nah, I'm constantly being told by all those "supermums" out there (I never
made supermum status..! Who wants to anyway? Be honest..!))
that it's just a question of good organisation..!!!
What is in the trunk of your car?
A vintage plaid blanket, snowboards, skis, poles, helmets... Yeah, it's a big trunk, plus,
I can't be bothered to empty it daily as we go up the mountains
practically every day at this time of year...
Which do you prefer sushi or hamburger?
Neither; I'm only into slow-food as I love my food too much.
I'm afraid I'm a bit of a foodie and I'd happily travel across the country (even the world)
to find the right quality produce - oils, spices, fruit, cheeses, home grown
vegetables in season, "artisanal" baked breads... oh yum!

Ok...I am done!
